I've been experiencing almost all of the typical symptoms of depression for over two weeks now.
At first I thought it was just a temporary depression kicking in.
However, in the last few days I have started experiencing headaches and chest tightness, and yesterday I felt dizzy and sick.
Appetite has also become so bad that I don't want to eat at all.

Emotions tend to get out of control, often erupting suddenly at the drop of a hat.
I didn't want to go out and interact with people, and as a student, I hadn't been to school for a week.
I barely made it to school yesterday and ended up feeling even more tormented after being alone all day and not wanting to talk.
But academics can't just be given up, and that makes me conflicted.
So I started to wonder if I was really suffering from depression.
If that's a real possibility, I'll have to get it checked out properly at a professional facility as soon as possible.
Hi, I have felt similarly when I read your description, everyone can experience mental sub-health under life's stresses, such as emotional outbursts, loneliness and torment. If you have tried to self-regulate but the symptoms are not relieved without other physical ailments, I would suggest you to see a psychiatrist immediately. If it's caused by excessive stress or anxiety, it's also important to talk to a counselor first, or go home and get some peace of mind, which is important for recovery.
