How do you relieve and overcome depression when it comes and you can't get rid of it?

What can you do when depression hits and you feel like you can't shake it off, and you're cheering yourself up while your mood goes up and down like a roller coaster?

Hi, friend! First of all, I'm sending you a warm hug through the air. I'm so glad to see you asking for help and I hope my sharing can give you some support and encouragement. From your description, I can sense that the persistent depression is troubling and distressing to you, and that you instinctively want to escape these uncomfortable feelings.

In fact, there is no such thing as good, bad, right or wrong emotions. Behind every emotion lies a need that we have not seen, responded to or met. Therefore, emotions need to be seen, accepted and responded to with our hearts, especially those negative emotions, which deserve to be treated gently.

At the moment of depression, don't rush to avoid it, try to stay with this painful emotion. You can start by taking a few deep breaths to ease the shock of the intensity of the emotion on your body, and then take your time to feel, realize and sort out your emotions and explore the real needs hidden behind it.

You can also try keeping a journal to record in writing your emotional state when you are low. This is a simple and effective way to help you live better with your emotions and improve your self-awareness.

Try asking yourself: if depression could talk, what would it want to tell you? Spend time with yourself in that moment, in the way you are most comfortable, and do what you can to make your mood better, such as going outdoors in the sun, listening to soothing music, or cooking a delicious meal with your own hands. Whatever pleases you, be bold and try it.

For most people, depressive moods are often the result of turning hostility, anger or aggression that should be directed towards the outside world towards themselves, leading to excessive self-reflection. So, when faced with frustration and less-than-ideal situations, it's important to consciously make external attributions, such as considering environmental factors, rather than just blaming yourself.
