How do you find a hobby that sticks? A Practical Guide to Breaking Out of the Halfway House

To be honest, I've had this problem since I was a kid, I have a hard time sticking with anything I do. For example, if I learn to play a musical instrument, I give up just as soon as I get started; if I get up in the morning to run, I'm too lazy to move within a few days. I always feel like I can't get interested in anything, and even though I swipe my cell phone all day long, it's actually quite boring, just because it doesn't take much effort, I just do it out of habit.

Every time I resolve to make a change, but every time I half-ass it ...... I really don't know what to do anymore, and I especially want to find something that I really love.

A friend sends you flowers for encouragement ????????????

Yes, many people encounter similar problems - always doing things for three minutes. This is actually a common state of modern people, but we are not willing to be like this, and sometimes it is particularly difficult to feel empty even with a cell phone, and do not know what to do meaningful.

So let's take a look at how to improve this situation step by step. The key, of course, is persistence.

Think back to when you learned to play an instrument or run, why did you initially start? Maybe running was for health or weight loss, and learning a musical instrument was to have an additional skill. But why did you give up halfway through? What might have been the reason?

In the beginning, we tend to be full of motivation and freshness, such as the first few days of running are particularly energetic, and learning a musical instrument is curious. But in the middle stage, it is easy to enter the fatigue period - feel boring, tired, can not find fun, naturally want to give up.

Learning a musical instrument is the same. It is normal to be excited at first, but after practicing for a long time, you will feel bored and lose interest.

When we hit a period of fatigue, this is where persistence really begins. It's even more important to remind ourselves at this point not to give up so easily, even if we find a simple reason to do so.

Almost everything goes through a period of fatigue, even if it's something you particularly enjoy. We need to be proactive in getting over this hurdle and treating it as a hurdle to break through so that we can build lasting confidence.

Make yourself more determined and don't say give up so easily. Before you give up, ask yourself what the original purpose was and if you have achieved your goal. If not yet, gather your courage and move forward one step at a time.

Everything is worth persevering with so cheer up ? and give yourself a little more confidence.

I hope these suggestions help you yet!
