When tutoring class policy changes suddenly: career confusion and self-adjustment of 27-year-olds

The tutoring class industry was restricted, and the teaching certificate was not yet in my hands, I felt confused about my future and my life.

I turned 27 this year and was supposed to graduate from grad school in 2020, but I chose to drop out at the end of 2019. After taking some time off to adjust at home, I've been working for over a year now.

I started my career as an insurance salesman, then went on to study pet grooming, and then decided to take the path of teaching. Now I'm teaching at a tutoring organization while preparing for my certification, but with the sudden tightening of policies and restrictions on extracurricular classes, I feel like I've lost my direction again, and with no certification, I don't know what to do next.

When I first decided to become a teacher, I was really energized and would take the initiative to study for exams. But now the enthusiasm is all gone and I'm just hanging on to my past decisions. I don't want to read every day, and when I pick up my cell phone, I just swipe it all day long. I'm obviously not too young, but I have no idea what I should be doing right now or what kind of person I should be in the future.

Seriously, when I think about it, I feel a little off in my psyche and mind, like I'm out of step with the world.

Hello, owner, I'm Whale Social Worker Kissing Wind.

A warm hug to you first! I'm sure a lot of people, like you, are confused about life at this stage. Things you had planned, now you can't bring yourself to do, and it's a blur as to what you want to do in the future.

The truth is that our biggest enemy is ourselves, because it's hard to overcome inertia. If you can overcome your procrastination, then there is nothing to fear in many things, after all, we often know that we should act but are slow to do so.

But I think once you decide to do something, weigh the pros and cons first and think through the best and worst outcomes. If you can accept the worst, then let it go and don't get discouraged or deny yourself, no matter if you succeed or fail.

Persistence is important! As the old saying goes, hard work always pays off. I believe that if you are practical and persistent now, you will be rewarded in the future. If you want to continue to be a teacher, you have two chances to take the license every year, both of which you can try.

After you get your certificate, you can also take the local teacher recruitment or special post exam. In fact, there are quite a few ways to become a teacher, the key is to see if you can grit your teeth and get through this difficult period.

Good luck~ (Whale Social Worker)
