I have a classmate that I often take classes with, and I don't really have a problem with her, and she's not a bad person, but every time she opens her mouth I tend to get angry. She has a tendency to think of things in a negative light, complaining about this and that, and often I don't want to hear it, but I don't want to make the situation awkward. I'm not sure if it's because we have different values, but every time I share something happy or make a joke, she'll reason with me in a serious way. I don't know if it's because she's too serious or because we just don't get along. What should I do to deal with this situation?
It's really quite suffocating to have to sit with her every day when you clearly don't like to hear her pour out her bitterness.
In fact, there are positive and negative sides to everything, why does she always focus on the bad side? Can't she find any good in anything?

Those who make us uncomfortable are often there to help us practice mindfulness. Can we learn to be tolerant in the midst of this friction? Can we see our own bottom line?
Relationships are like mirrors that reflect our inner projections. Especially in the midst of letting people get along awkwardly, it's the right time to reflect on yourself and improve yourself. Maybe you'll look back in a few years and be thankful for the experience.
Of course, if her negativity is really taking your breath away, we can absolutely make a choice - do we continue to rub it in? Or distance yourself appropriately?
Remember, we always have a choice. True health is staying calm inside.
So the first step is to guard your inner peace first~
Good luck finding your balance and having a good day~
